ferries

With its marine locale, it's no wonder many visitors arrive in Fisherman's Wharf by ferry. Fisherman’s Wharf is also the most convenient place to launch an expedition around the Bay — and there is no better way than on a ferry.  Enjoy the comfort, convenience, and stress-free experience of ferry travel.

Ferries from the East Bay (Oakland, Alameda, Harbor Bay, Richmond, Vallejo, and Mare Island)

San Francisco Bay Ferry operates the ferry service from the East Bay to San Francisco. At this time, arrivals and departures are from the Ferry Building on The Embarcadero (except for special event service to Oracle Park and Chase Center.) If arriving at the Ferry Building, you can take the F-Line Street Car to Fisherman's Wharf; it takes about 15 minutes.

Ferries From Marin County (Sausalito) To Fisherman's Wharf

The Blue and Gold Fleet operates ferries from Sausalito directly to Fisherman's Wharf at Pier 41.

Golden Gate Ferry Service operates ferries between Larkspur and Sausalito to San Francisco's Ferry Building. There are frequent departures from the Ferry Building on The Embarcadero. If arriving at the Ferry Building, you can take the F-Line Street Car to Fisherman's Wharf; it takes about 15 minutes.
